The Pittsfield American Legion Peterson-Cram Post 75 will hold a Memorial Day Observance on Sunday, May 28 – beginning with a church service at the Park Street Baptist Church at 10:00 am followed by the Memorial Day observance at 1 pm at the Veterans Memorial at Dustin Park on Main Street. Music will be provided by PMHS Chorale and Bill Parker. The guest speaker is UNH Veterans Mentor, Steve Stout. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the Multi Town Yard Sale on June 2, 3 & 4 from 8-2pm. All Chamber Member towns (Barnstead, Chichester, Epsom, Gilmanton, Loudon Northwood & Pittsfield) are eligible to participate. The map of registered locations will be available online at www.pittsfieldchamber.org in the days prior to the event. There will also be a printable list of addresses available on the website.
A Pittsfield Community Garden committee has been formed and they will meet each Thursday at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall. If you are interested in helping or would like more information, please attend the meeting.
The Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce is offering a $500 Scholarship. Students that are graduating High School in 2017 and live in the towns of Barnstead, Chichester, Epsom or Pittsfield and plan to continue your education are eligible to apply. Foot Work Friday! PES students can be dropped off at the Family Dollar parking lot on Friday and WALK to school with PES staff. Students are also encouraged to bring their bike to school that day.

“Let There Be Peace,” the First Congregational Church’s annual patriotic concert, is set for Friday, June 2, 7 p.m. at the church, 24 Main Street, Pittsfield.
