The Pittsfield Youth Workshop has Drop-in hours from 3-6pm each day. Mon- Board Games; Tues- Arts & Crafts, Wed- Early Release, Thurs- Cooking Matters club. For more information, contact Zach or Paula at 435-8272.

The Pittsfield Senior Center is holding a Tai Chi class for seniors, on Wednesdays from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the Bicentennial Room of the Pittsfield Community Center located on 74 Main St. in Pittsfield. This senior safe Tai Chi provides relaxation, concentration, flexibility, balance, and strength through slow moving meditative forms. The cost is $6.00 per visit or $20.00 for four weeks. The Pittsfield Youth Workshop is 30 years old!! Plans are being made to celebrate this wonderful milestone. If you attended PYW, worked at PYW, volunteered at PYW anytime over the past 30 years – we want to hear from you. Come support our Basketball teams vs Newmarket on Mon, Feb. 13 at PMHS Gym – the Girls Varsity Team starts at 5:30pm and the Boys Varsity Team plays at 7pm.

The Parks & Recreation Committee will meet on Tues, Feb.14 at 6:15pm at the Town Hall.

The NH Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles is pleased to announce that a new computer system (VISION) will be implemented in the month of February. As a result, there will be an interruption of motor vehicle registration processing statewide. Town/City Clerk’s offices, along with the DMV offices, will be unable to process new or renewal registrations over the President’s Day holiday weekend, beginning Friday, February 17, 2017, and will be resuming transactions on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Throughout this process, the Town Clerk’s office will be open for other transactions not related to vehicle registrations during our normal, scheduled hours of operation.

The PMHS girls and boys basketball programs are partnering with the National Honor Society to host the Coaches versus Cancer Benefit on February 13 and the ALS Awareness Night on February 17. Games start at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. in the PMHS gymnasium.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Wed, Feb. 15 at 4pm at the Town Hall.

The Library Trustees would like to meet with the public on Feb. 22 at 7pm at the Town Hall to discuss ideas for the new acquired Barn (located beside the Library and donated by Bill Miskoe). The Pittsfield Players’ Kid’s’ Theater Workshop is currently in rehearsal for this season’s presentation of “Singin’ In The Rain Jr.” The show will run at the Scenic Theatre on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 23, 24 and 25, at 7:30 pm each evening. In addition, there will be two matinee performances on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 21 and 22, at 12:30 pm for local schools and home schoolers, so that kids might see their peers on stage and develop an interest in theater. Participants in the Kids’ Theater Workshop range in age from 8 to 18, and they learn all aspects of theater including on stage and behind the scenes. Tickets for the evening shows are $8 for kids under 12 and $12 for adults and can be reserved by calling 435-8852.
