The Budget Committee will meet on Wed, Jan. 25 at 6:30pm at the Town Hall.

Strengthening Our Community- Facing Heroin and Substance Misuse. Gather with neighbors for this A Roundtables, Not Podiums Community Dialogue to learn more and focus on actions we can take in our community to address the opiate crisis- in prevention, treatment, and recovery. Wednesday January 25.Doors Open 5:30, Event 6-8 pm in the Pittsfield Middle High School Cafeteria. All are welcome. Free. Light refreshments and childcare provided. Preschool Story hour at the Library for ages 2-5 will meet Thursday, January 26 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. January themes are snowmen, mittens, penguins and shapes! Join Ms. Holly for a fun filled hour of stories, crafts and a snack.

Declarations of Candidacy for School District positions will begin on Wednesday, January 25 and expire on Friday, February 3 at 5PM. You may file at the office of the School District Clerk at the Town Hall, 85 Main Street during regular business hours. The office will remain open until 5PM on February 3rd. The declaration form will also be available to download from the Town and School District websites. Positions available are: School Board Member 1 (3) year term, School District Moderator 1 (1) year term and School District Treasurer 1 (3) year term.

The Pittsfield Conservation Commission will meet on Thurs, Jan. 26 at 7pm at the Town Hall.

Join us for a concert about monsters! Real monsters, imagined monsters, even funny monsters. The Suncook Valley Chorale will present its Winter program on Friday January 27 at 7 and Sunday the 29th at 3 at the First Congregational Church of Pembroke, with Scott Lounsbury directing and Calvin Herst as the accompanist. The SVC is made up of over 60 singers of all ages. Our musical repertoire includes pop, classical, gospel, jazz and barbershop. Tickets are available at the door or from Chorale members. $15, $12 for students/seniors. Join the Read Meet & Talk book club for an exciting book discussion on “the Beautiful Mystery” by Louise Penny at the Pittsfield Senior Community Center Tuesday January 26th at 10:30. Stay for a leisurely lunch afterward.

The Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session at the Town Hall on Tues, Jan. 24 between 7:00pm – 7:30 to make corrections and register new voters.

The Pittsfield Senior Center is holding a Tai Chi class for seniors, on Wednesdays from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the Bicentennial Room of the Pittsfield Community Center located on 74 Main St. in Pittsfield. This senior safe Tai Chi provides relaxation, concentration, flexibility, balance, and strength through slow moving meditative forms. The cost is $6.00 per visit or $20.00 for four weeks.
